This was a very active leading role in the support and development of the college’s IT infrastructure and systems, with a strong technical ‘hands on’ focus. Starting as a basic IT Technician with little real world IT knowledge I progressed through various levels to become the Head of IT Technical Systems. During this time I spearheaded many inovative and forward thinking ideas. Always adapting to new technologies and business requirements.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Migrated key Confluence & Jira on premise servers to the Cloud. Keeping over 12 years of data intact.
Replaced a medium sized Mitel phone system with MS Teams, providing integrated chat, presence, video and telecomunications services.
Implemented a new virtualisation infrastructure using the Proxmox hypervisor, replacing traditional linux hypervisors, providing a clustered, centralised managed system.
Created a computer & user auditing system built on windows scripting host, html, IIS and SQL which was used to display utilisation stats of a large number of classrooms for computers and software. Used by curriculum teams to better plan resource allocation.
Created a large Active Directory structure with over 23,000 users and computers for a large college, utilising various technologies (e.g. AD, WUS, GPO) to replace an aging and fragmented Novel Netware infrastructure. This system also provided the foundation for a large Virtual Learning Environment.
Personal Development
Authored and illustrated a series of 12+ children's books following the adventures of a small dog named Max, published in multiple formats including paperback, hardback, ebook, and audio. In addition to these I have published a couple of non fiction books aimed at adults.
Conceptualized and designed the brand logo and developed the official website for "The Adventures of Max." Created additional activity and coloring books, expanding the range of offerings under the brand. Designed and managed the production of branded merchandise, including T-shirts, mugs, and more, driving brand recognition and revenue. Strategically managed social media platforms (X, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) to engage with audiences, promote new releases, and build a loyal following.
Developed and managed a YouTube channel dedicated to reviewing movies, providing in-depth analysis, critiques, and recommendations to a growing audience. Created and managed a separate YouTube channel focused on reviewing video games, covering various genres and platforms, with an emphasis on gameplay, graphics, and user experience. Script, film, and edit high-quality video content for both channels, ensuring engaging and informative presentations tailored to target audiences.
