I’ve been a fan of Apple since the iPhone 3G, but have always kept an eye on the growing competition. For me Apple has always been pretty perfect, Android a confusing mess. However I’ve also loved flip phones ever since I laid my hands on the Motorola MPX200, also I guess theirs something of a Star Trek Communicator fetish going on inside my mind.
So along came the Samsung Flip Z and I had to have one. The phone build is good, the camera is ok, battery life is fine, the 2nd screen is useful – it stops you turning on the main screen and acts as a pretty cool 2nd screen when taking photos espeically of others as they can see how they look. The ability to take photos by saying “say cheese” or “smile” is pretty cool, but its the physical attributes that do it for me, pocket size and yet with a full size screen. You really dont notice the fold on the screen, its pretty light and comfortable to hold.
