Back in 1989 I spent many hours sitting alone in my bedroom coding away on my beloved Amiga 500. This machine had only 512KB of RAM and was incredibly weak when compared to the power of devices these days.
My hard work was rewarded in January 1990 when a national magazine decided to publish my game on the front cover and distribute it for free across the UK.

Today I might have had the game published on the Apple or Google app stores, and maybe made more than the £150 I received from the magazine.
Unfortuantely this was to mark the end of my dreams of becoming a games designer, the Amiga faded away, technology became more complex and I never managed to get back into it.
